"I was in a clothing store. I had been walking around looking for a new shirt, when I bumped into someone. I blushed and hurriedly apologized to her. The person didn't answer. I walked away thinking that the person was being very rude. A few minutes later I bumped into the same person again. I turned around and glared at her and opened my mouth to say something rude, when I realized that the "person" was really a mannequin! I turned to see my sister laughing her head off at me. She and her friend had been watching me. I told her to go away, but she turned around and told her friend's mother that I had been having conversations with a dummy! I was really embarrassed!

"My biggest screw up is the most embarrassing thing in my entire life. I was three years old and my brothers and the neighbors were outside playing. I went down to go play with them and they wouldn't pay attention to me. So as being a three year old, I wanted that attention, so I lifted up my dress while I had no underwear on. This was my biggest screw up because to this day I still know all the people who were there and they remember. The really sad part is that one of the boys there is my age and still goes to school with me. Sometimes he till makes fun of me for it. When I tell people this story I get made fun of but we all laugh."

“First trimester of junior high, all my classes were great I love them all, especially gym. Every Thursday is a swim day, and there’s this boy that I really like and he’s in it. We talk a little, well I lied we don’t at all, but his friend talks to me. I didn’t want to embarrass myself on front of him. Every day when I see him I always stare at his lips. I always wonder what it would be like to be kissed by him, and what his embrace would feel like.

Anyways I was too shy and I didn’t think anyone would ever like me, but a girl can dream right? So Thursday’s a swim day. I hate wearing two piece especially if there’s boys in the class. The P.E. teach explained the rules to us and the biggest one was “NO RUNNING” I listened, always following the rules. My friends were also in that class, we were not close but close enough. The teacher instructed us to go line up for the driving board. I was behind, [too caught up on my own thoughts] all my friends were in front of me, so was Wesley and his friend, they were walking and joking around in front of me.

The my friend was nagging for me to hurry up. I forgot about the rules for a minute and I sped up my pace and before I knew it I was sliding and my foot kicked Wesley’s and he fell on top of me, his head hit mine ,and my head hit the concrete, and every bone in my body hurt. He was bigger than me. Everyone was staring at me and laughing. I cried and ran to the locker room once I got up, I wanted to go home so bad. I just wished I could die right then and there.”

"It was going to be and ordinary party, just like all the other ones. I set up the chairs and go all the burnable stuff in the fire. I got the marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate, and the graham crackers. It was getting about that time when everyone was showing up and it was getting dark. We started one side of the fire because we wanted it to last long because it was a huge pile of stuff. We all sat around the fire talking and laughing about stupid stuff.

Then we saw a shot come up out of the fire and then it sounded like an automatic machine gun. There was things’ shooting out of the fire everyone ran or ducked for cover. I couldn’t believe my fire was shooting at us. Then someone screamed and started rolling on the ground. My cousin had a piece land on his shirt and catch it on fire. It was finally over we all couldn’t believe that I accidently put he fireworks in the fire I was so embarrassed. We all laughed and it was time for everyone to go home."

"It was like any christmas, so I thought. I was going up North to Perision to vist my grandma and grandpa and go to our Fifield family reuion, that we go to every year. What I didn't know is it was my gradma and grandpa's turn to host it this year.
Soon as I walked through the door, I saw five or six different pot and pans on the stove and my grandma on the other side of the kitchen making a desert. I stood there with and shocked expression on my face asking," What's going on grandma?, Why are you making so much food?" She turned to me explaining its our turn to host the reuion this year, then told me to hurry up and help her.
I helped her finish cooking a packing stuff for the party, and me and her left early to start setting up.
We got there and my grandma gave me and whoever was there to help us a job. Mine was setting up tables, I had to put up the tables then put the decorations and mints on the table. My uncle Wayne helped me.
We got to doing the last set of tables for the food. He would have one side I would have the other. So we had the tables set up and I started putting the table cloth, food and decoration on. What I didn't know was one side of the desert table wasn't stable. So as I put the last of the desert on. My cousin Morgan walks by bumping into it. Next thing I knew all the one side of the table dropped and all the food started sliding. I tried catching what I could from fallin. Well when I tried catching the cake it went all over me, then came the jello.
I never seen my grandma so mad, everyone laughed except for her. My dad came up and brought me home while everyone else fixed it up."

"Butterflies swarmed in my stomach as I sat on top of Ranger. It was my first real horseshow doing a hunter/jumper class. Finally, my hard work in lessons would pay off. Or maybe not. It was my turn to warm-up, but being so nervous made me as clumsy as a duck out of water. We were headed towards the straight-railed fence when Ranger balked. I flew up and over and landed on the other side of the fence. One look at his face said it all, "Well, don't ride in front of me, you dummy." With a beet-red face I got back on and continued warming-up, not entirely sure of myself. Then it was my turn to do the course. One, then two fences without flaw.

Now was the turn into two-stride combination. All of a sudden, I felt myself sliding sideways, down, down, and then plop, I was on the ground. Ranger was cantering away, wondering why he no longer had a flailing weight on his back. With tears in my eyes I caught him and gently tightened the girth. All around people were standing, wondering how I could make such a rookie mistake. With my heart beating so loud I'm sure people in China could hear it, I mounted Ranger and started the course again. Like before, the first two fences went smoothly, and then came the dreaded turn. It was deja vu.

Once again the saddle started slipping and once again I ended up on the ground. I wanted to bawl. All these people watching me and I fell off, not once, but three times! They were nice enough to find me a new girth and I somehow found the strength to finish the course, but to say I wanted to die would be an understatement."

"It was completely natural.  Two little girls, their bikes, and a big hill..  Of course we were going to race down it, despite all the little rocks and treacherous grip.  We were experts, we could handle it.  Without even a second thought we peddled down that hill, gaining tremendous speed.

For a second all went well, we were half way down when it all went wrong.  Our bikes slipped sending us skidding across the gravel.  I fell on my stomach, my shirt sliding up to my chin as we slid the rest of the way down the hill.  As we came to a stop we were completely stunned.  How could our brilliant plan go wrong?  With all our skill and unquestionable talent, it was absurd that we would fall.  Slowly I pushed myself onto my knees, wincing as the numerous scrapes on my stomach throbbed.  Beside me my sister got to her feet, wiping away the tears falling down her cheeks.  Picking up our bikes we carefully made our way home, wincing with every step."

The Lie Detector Test

"While riding to an appointment with my dad and sister, we struck up a conversation about the most recent movie we’d seen, “Meet the Parents”. The most memorable part of our conversation was when we asked my dad how lie detectors always know if you tell the truth or not.

My dad answered, “They tell by nerves, and nerves are never wrong.”
With my ten year old, selective hearing, I answered, “Well I’m a nerd, and I am wrong sometimes.” Oops!"

"I think that one of my biggest screw ups was when I told this kid who I liked. He not only told the kid I liked, but most of the class. It was last year. He still teases me about it.

"
Hi my name is Chelsea and the biggest mistake of my life so far since I'm only 16/ (almost 17) is letting my best friend date a total jerk. My friend Caity, and her boyfriend had been dating for five months when I first met him. Out of those five moths I never met my best friend's boyfriend, they had been dating behind my back for four months. I was totally shocked that she wouldn't tell me, since we tell each other everything. But I went along with it because I wanted her to be happy and he made her happy.

The day I met him I didn't like him, he was bossy and controling. Caity was...changed. She wasn't her usual self when he was around. I just thought it was because it was his first time meeting me and she was being nervous that I wouldn't like him, I was wrong. I told Caity about how she acted and how I didn't like him about a month later, meeting him a couple of more times with her and both of them acting the same way they did when I first met him. She flipped out on me and told me that I shouldn't be telling her what to do, and that I was just jealous that I didn't have a boyfriend like her. I accepted that she yelled at me and soon I started hanging out with some other friends.

About a month later she came to me crying that I was right and she was sorry she didn't listen to me. She told me that her boyfriend was cheating on her for the longest time with several girls and she knew nothing about it. Three weeks later we both saw him flirting with a girl at the movies(and by far it was the most rebelious thing I have ever done), I got up and walked over to him.

I stood in front of them until they noticed me and when he did I punched him in the nose and told the girl that he was making out with that he was total player and would probably cheat on her. That was seven months ago and the only thing I regret is being a screw up and not staying by my friends side to help her beat the guy up sooner."
