Sherman Alexie

Sherman Alexie (www.fallsapart.com) is most assuredly a Very Cool Person. If it wasn't for Mr.Alexie I wouldn't have gone out and purchased "Fat Kid Rules the World". It seems that his protagonist Arnold in "The Absolute True Diary of a Part Time Indian" liked FKRTW enough to include it on his list of 9 favorite books. High praise I'd say! Mr.Alexie is a Very Cool Native American and terrific writer and poet.

Note from KL: I second this nomination. Sherman Alexie is one of my favorite writers and I was so honored to have "Fat Kid Rules the World" included in his book. Did you know that "The Absolute True Diary of a Part Time Indian" won the National Book Award for Young People this year? It's a great read, so check it out!
