I'd like to submit two of my favorite people who are very cool because they love one another and stick up for each other all the time, even though one talks nonstop and the other one doesn't talk at all.

Joseph and Lucey are twins, age 13. They are my youngest children; Joseph is 37 minutes older.

They are my extroverts; both are very social, love to hang out with other teens, go to dances, etc. Both love music and Lucey sings a beautiful soprano. Joe is non- verbal with a diagnosis of Down's Syndrome & multiple disabilities, severe MR, but he likes Third Day and Casting Crowns, also good marching music, like JP Sousa. Lucey is practicing some songs from Rent, as she's performing at a Coffeehouse next Sunday.

Their favorite food is chocolate ice cream, although Joe absolutely loves anything with catsup. When we put the red bottle on the table, his eyes zoom right to it, like a magnet. That's how he tells us he wants something. He also pats the bottle like it's his best friend.

Joe likes action movies with lots of noise, so 'Spiderman 3' was a big hit. Lucey liked 'Chronicles of Narnia' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' one and two, at least. Her favorite color is blue, but we think Joe really likes red, because of that catsup...
