Very Cool Person of the Month:
|
Johann duHoffmann
I would like to nominate
my son Johann duHoffmann for awesome, super cool person of the
month. The reasons go beyond explanation but I'll try:
At 11 years old he moved from a small town in upstate
NY into New York City to live on his own and attend The School
of American Ballet.
Because of his schedule
he had to stop regular school after 8th grade. But he continued
reading and learning on his own. He took his GED and had scored
110 on a test with a maximum score of 100. He did all three essays.
He's an awesome dancer,
graceful, strong and technically beautiful to watch, yet still
a masculine hunk. |

After finishing at SAB, he continued to
dance, while doing his mosaic art murals around New York City, Copenhagen
(Denmark), Stuttgart (Germany), Aspen CO and Binghamton NY.
In 2000, at the age of 20, he decided to
go to college, got accepted at one of the toughest schools in
the country and now in 2004 is graduating, with top grades and
top skills and is even thinking about medical school.
• He's a great teacher of dance, juggling (which he is awesome
at), English, drama, and has taught at a small private school
in Massachusetts to great acclaim.
• He's a great son, always encouraging
and loving to his parents, small children and animals. Yet no one,
and I mean no one, can tell him what to do. He can talk to anybody
about anything and come away with more than he started with. Constantly
learning, constantly teaching and a lot of fun, to boot.
IT'S NOT JUST CAUSE I'M HIS MOTHER AND
PROUD OF HIM THAT I THINK HE SHOULD WIN THIS AWARD. I THINK THE
FACT THAT 28 PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES ARE COMING TO
HIS GRADUATION SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
